Spicy Adobo Sauce

I made this sauce based on a few other adobo sauces for Mexican dishes, but I love this stuff so much I use it on sandwiches, eggs and just about anything else. Add a little sour cream for a nice adobo creama sauce.


  • 1 can chipotle peppers in adobo
  • 6 tbs olive oil
  • 2-3 pinch kosher salt
  • 4 tbs honey
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 2-3 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 squirt lime juice


  1. Place all items in food processor or blender
  2. Process until smooth
  3. Make modifications by taste for level of heat
  4. Place in jar/container and refrigerate
